Update on client projects

I met with the potential client that I told you all about in class yesterday, and it is official - we have the project. He looked at each of my classes, considering the different kinds of majors in each section, and he selected the 1:25 class for his project. I will tell you guys more about what you'll be doing in class tomorrow.

Additionally, my supervisor contacted me about another project possibility. One of the retail stores for Habitat for Humanity would like a web site. I believe that we could have 2 classes work on this project. I will be meeting with the client for this project ASAP, and we'll decide then which two classes should complete this project.

Finally, two students have come to me with additional ideas. I'm going to talk with each of them about this tomorrow, and I believe that we can set put something together for the other sections with those two ideas.

So, it looks like we'll be good to go for the semester, with something client-based for each section to do. It makes for a much more enjoyable semester for all of us, so I'm really glad it's coming together so nicely now.

I enjoyed meeting you all yesterday and look forward to working with you to develop your business communication skills. I believe we'll have a great semester!

Welcome Fall 07 Students!

I'm looking forward to our semester together in English 304. Feel free to read any of my posts (below) or any of my former students' posts (links on the left) to help you get an idea of what the class will be like. You will all be making blogs too. We'll set aside one day in class soon to do this. If you have any questions, feel free to email me.
